ARTIST Raised in a family of educators, musicians, and artists, Kate Gibbs grew up loving to draw, paint, sew, and play dress up in a suburb near Philadelphia. Her passion for creativity and originality began as a child and has taken her around the globe. For more than a decade, she has been respected in international fashion and nonprofit worlds, displaying her versatility and skills in numerous capacities. She has utilized her diverse talents in successful roles as a fashion model, spokesperson, businesswoman, educator, artist, and advocate. She has studied at several European language institutions and spent years in the international fashion industry, living and working in global cities as well as New York. Following studies at Villanova University's School of Business, she has had a successful career in fashion working as a model with Bryan Bantry and Elite Management for clients including Diane Von Furstenberg, Vespa, and the City of New York, as well as a businesswoman and stylist in the houses of Diane Von Furstenberg and Vivienne Tam. Kate is a dedicated humanitarian who has shown her passion and capability to make an impact, both in the United States and Third World countries. She has become an advocate for education, peace and social justice initiatives, spending four years in the United States public system to learn about the field of education and government systems in place for children and families. Her decorative artwork, including jewelry, is created exclusively for the person of passion, conviction, and authenticity, reflecting the way she lives her life. |
